The Cooperative
The Equity Research Cooperative (EqRC) is a strategic consulting collective that works with campus and community organizations to measure, analyze, and prescribe interventions that advance their social, economic, and political goals. Grounded in an equity as process, equity as results mission, EqRC is known for our research-based approaches that assist partners in building and sustaining the climates and conditions in which historically excluded and underrepresented communities can thrive. Our collaborations are process-driven and results-oriented to ensure partners are able to capture important data that can be easily translated into opportunities for learning and other transformative interventions.
The Team
The Cooperative is primarily composed of a six-member core team and full-time staff that bring more than 80 years of collective experience in community and non-profit organizations, the private sector, and higher and postsecondary education. In addition, the Cooperative draws from its National Equity Expert Network content and skills experts to support specific needs of EqRC partners.

The Work
As a bridge between content experts, philanthropic funders, and equity-oriented organizations, EqRC provides a dynamic space for equity-first researchers to directly connect to consulting and grant opportunities aiming to address injustice and inequity. More specifically we bring together scholarly expertise from colleges and universities into organizational contexts that are able to move efficiently in allocating resources and executing projects on the ground. The Cooperative’s vast network has decades of skills training and experience, which we translate into actionable policy and professional practice.
The Cooperative has three primary portfolios of work: 1) research, assessment, and evaluation, 2) professional and organizational development, and 3) executive leadership and strategic advising.
